Autumn Winter Fashion Wishlist

Moving houses has showed me that I own much more stuff that what I though and definitely that I need. However, after a big wardrobe clear out I feel like there are few things that I would like to add, because the one-out -one -in is an international rule right? Here I show you the fashion pieces that in which I would like to spend my money on instead of Ikea shelving units.

Pleated Midi Skirt. I used to think that midi skirts where not for me until I tried a top and skirt combo for my sister’s wedding this summer. I loved the retro Mad men vibe that it gives, they are really elegant and more comfortable than long dresses. The one I have in mind is a pleated Midi skirt like this Asos one, much more casual and that will pair perfectly with a jumper and a biker leather jacket for a classy yet modern look. For my feet I would probably choose block heel ankle boots. The only problem is that these type of skirts don’t get along with tights and blue legs under UK’s freezing weather are not the best look.

Funnel Neck. I am a big fan of  big chunky jumpers for autumn, they are the best for those mornings when you don’t feel like wearing anything else than your duvet.  With roller necks I feel like I am going to suffocate but funnel necks protect my throat from the cold and I feel much more free. I would like to invest in a higher quality one in cashmere or similar like this Asos  one but I choke a bit after the thought of spending lots of money in a plain jumper.

Burgundy-Oxblood Cross Body Bag. I love reds and pinks all year round and burgundy is with no doubt my favourite colour for the cooler months. I am not a big fan of all black outfits so this colour is perfect for the season, dark enough for autumn/winter but bright enough to bring some light to the outfit. This Aspinal of London bag in Croc leather is exactly what I had in my mind but if I would buy it my bank may think someone has stolen my credit card. However, I found this Accesorize one that it is much more affordable and has similar style.

Shearling Denim Jacket. I think I had a jacket like this Topshop one when I was about eight  and I loved it because I felt like Kelly Taylor from Beverly Hills 90210 ( what else  more could you aspire in life?) . I was a bit skeptic in the beginning of this 90s come back but now I am all in. It looks super cosy, I don’t see it much with similar wash jeans Canadian Tuxedo style  but it would go great with more feminine dresses and skirts or with a chunky Jumper and leather trousers.

Five Autumn Fashion Pieces

fullsizerender-4As a summer baby (I was born on a 28th of July) I love hot weather, shorts and sandals. However, as much as I like warm weather there is something about autumn that brings me quite a lot of excitement. Probably it is inherited as my many years of being a student (school, Uni and then Masters accounts around 80% of my life studying) but I have always seen Autumn rather than New Year as a fresh start, the time to make resolutions, start projects and set goals. That’s why I decided to start my blogging adventure with the start of School Year.

When I was a kid, I adored the feel of new stationary ready for the start of the classes and as I grew up I started to fell more excited about the new season wardrobe: cosy jumpers, jackets, boots… Warm colours are definitely my thing so bring the all the creams, oranges and mustards please ( wait I am talking about pantone no food). In this post I present my five favourite fashion pieces for this 2016 Autumn Season.

Bomber Jacket. It has been around for a few years already and even though I didn’t see it at the beginning I have definitely fallen for it and got not one but two of them. I think it is perfect for the early days of the season when it is not  too cold. I got this one blush pink one very cheap in the sales that I goes with so many outfits and colours and it always makes feel like I am Rizzo in Grease. The one I have is not available any more but I leave some options here, here and here.

Fedora Hat. I think this style of hat has the power of transform completely a plain outfit into a cool boho look. I bought this one in John Lewis few years and I thought it was a pricey but I got it anyway as it is hard to find a good flattering hat. After so much use of it I can tell you it is worthy to invest in a higher quality one like this one from Marks and Spencer that comes in few different colours.

Beanie hat. Similar transforming effect that the Fedora but this makes you look more laid back and casual. Extra points for covering a bad hair day or rain induced frizz.

Loafers. If we have to choose the shoe of the season this Gucci loafers in all their variants would probably be the chosen ones. If you don’t want to spend a little fortune on a pair , don’t worry, almost every single high street brand has released their version, some of them like these Asos  or Topshop  ones in very decent quality as well. The obvious match would be a formal office look but I personally love wearing them as a twist of ripped jeans and jumper outfit.

Neck scarf. My Instagram feed has been filled with outfit with neck scarves or bandanas during this last fashion week month. Very simple but effective, it can be tied in many different ways but the thing now is to tie this cowboy style that pairs perfectly with any type of buttoned shirt. As well, tied around the handle of a hand bag is a very good way to update an old or plain bag.  I got this one from New look but you have multiple options from low cost to Luxury .

This are my choices to update your look for the season so you can bring new air to your basics and make them feel new. Which are your favourite pieces for this autumn?

Outfit post – Dungaree life

img_4983Aaah moving out!! Moving and house hunting is probably one of the most stressful things that I can imagine. Even more when it is completely unexpected. Due to the need of some refurbishment in my current flat I am going to need to move out of the property soon and find another place. When I think about this as my flat hunting outfit I can’t help to remember the famous “apartment pants” in that Friends episode with Rachel’s sister.

In fact, I wasn’t even wearing proper pants, I chose these dungarees instead. Practical and cool at the same time, very comfortable ( except for that bathroom moment… ) and a bit more interesting than regular jeans. I got these pair in Spring from Berskha, but you can find similar ones here, here and here. Their rips in the knees and the cropped fit makes them more flattering and takes away the feeling of dressing up as your five-year old cousin.

As they are quite an statement piece on their I decided to go very simple for the rest and pair them with this light cream sweater. For convenience, as the day would involve quite a lot of walking and step climbing, I wore the animal print Vans. However, I thing this same outfit would go very well with either stilettos or block heels for a more formal occasion.

On top of it I threw this Topshop camel coat. The double breasted style and the slightly longer length make this jacket look more formal and balances the casual style of the dungarees and trainer making the whole outfit a lot more put together.

The final touch is this Zara bag. I love bags in bright colour as I think they bring some light to a neutral outfit. I have used this one a ton as it complements perfectly very monochrome looks like this one.

Dungarees, do you love them or hate them? Do you have any tips for house hunting and moving?

All Time Beauty Favourites

Every time I see Q&As videos or posts of my favourite beauty bloggers the most asked question comes in the form of : if you had to use only one of X product for the rest of your life what would you choose? I think that’s actually a pretty good question as it really defines that person’s preferences and personal style. That is why I decided do an all time favourites as an opening act so you can get an idea what kind of beauty products rule my world.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in 03 Buttercream. On a daily basis I like my skin to look as much natural as possible but of course I better version of it where I have a more even skin tone and less blemishes (if I only could use in real life the pretty Snapchat filter…) This base fits perfectly my needs, it covers small imperfections and redness but still looks like you are not wearing much. Radiant and glowy but it doesn’t make you look like you could fry an egg in your forehead by lunch time. It comes in multiple shades so I am sure you can find the perfect one for you.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 02 Cool Medium . An oldie but a goddie. Complete bargain as it is only £3.99 and cover perfectly any blemishes you can have. However, there are only three shades available so I don’t think girls with darker skin can find a good match.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder in 52 Vanilla. I am not a big fan of the very matte, powdery look, however, a bit of powder helps you make up to stay longer if you have a busy day ahead and stops your T-zone from getting shiny. This one adds a tiny bit of coverage without clashing with the glowyness ( is that even a word?) of your base.

Body Shop Honey Bronzer in Shade 02. Kardashian style contour is not for me, I prefer to apply a light wash of bronzer to my face in order to make it look a bit warmer and healthier. This one is very subtle and perfect for anyone scared of bronzers than make you look like an oompa-loompa.

Max Factor Cream Puff Blush in Alluring Rose. This whole range of blushers is incredible. They are baked blushed with some highlight pigments . They are very similar to the Hourglass Ambient Light blushers but for a fraction of the price. I have tried this one and another one on the range called Lovely Pink that I used entirely. I am very tempted to try other shades of the range.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highligher. It packs a huge amount of golden pigments that looks gorgeous in the skin. A little goes a long way tho and I would be light handed with it unless you go for the disco ball look…

Urban Decay Naked Palette. Probably there is not much left to say about this palette that hasn’t been said yet. This product definitely lives up to the hype as it is my perfect palette, a bit pricy but totally worthy . Twelve beautiful warm neutral eye shadows, very pigmented and easy to blend. An all rounder that you can use from very natural day wear to super smoky evening looks.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length + Volume Mascara. Very lenghty and self-explanatory name. I find most mascaras give me only lenght or volume but it is quite hard to find one that does everything. This one gives you false lashes effect perfect for a more dramatic look without of the hassle of the falsies.

Charlotte Tilbury Powder Eye Pencil in Sophia. Every time I see other people wearing winged liner I think how flattering looks but when I try it on myself I resemble more Amy Winehouse than Audrey Hepburn. That’s why I use a brown liner to softly define my eyes. This one is very subtle and it looks as if you have done it with an eyeshadow but it is much easier to apply.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Amazing Grace. My love to Charlotte Tilbury products could be a whole post itself, everything I’ve tried is amazing. Her matte lipsticks are definitely the star of show, beautiful matte colours that are surprisingly moisturizing and not drying at all. This one in particular is probably my all time favourite lipstick. It is a pinky coral that gives some colour to the lips that equally makes more interesting a “no make-up” makeup and doesn’t clash with something stronger in the eyes.

Which are your favourite products? Do you have any personal recommendations?

Welcome to Just Natalia!!

As you could have already guessed my name is Natalia. I am a twenty-something Spanish girl based in London. Economist as a profession but with a passion for Beauty, Fashion and Style, after many years reading multiple Fashion blogs and watching Beauty Youtube channels I decided to give it a go myself.

A little more about me : When I finish my degree in Economics in Madrid in 2012, where I am from, I decided to move to London for the summer in order to improve my no so good English. I fell in love with the city and what I was going to be just few months became years. I have always been a passionate of Arts and Fashion. Since the age of five or six I used to draw girls in cool outfits (or to be more precise ,in what a five-year old would think is cool ) and grew up reading the Fashion Magazines my mum would buy and enjoy oil painting and water colours. When I was a bit older I discovered make-up and beauty and given that it is no so far away than what I did with my painting brushes I soon got to love it.
